This summer, Australia’s most exciting lifestyle hotel precinct outside a capital city will officially open when voco Gosford and The Archibald Precinct launch on 1 December 2025. At the centre of it all is Astra, a show-stopping rooftop bar and Japanese dining concept perched on Level 28, set to become the Central Coast’s new destination for sky-high cocktails and fire-driven dining.

Easily accessible from Sydney and just a 60-minute drive north, voco Gosford, part of  IHG Hotels & Resorts’ premium portfolio, will redefine coastal hospitality when it launches, bringing together refreshingly different accommodation, bold dining and peak social energy in the heart of Gosford.

Designed with the playful spirit of the Central Coast in mind, the hotel’s 130 stylish guestrooms draw inspiration from the surrounding landscape as well as voco’s three brand hallmarks of ‘Come on in’, ‘Me time’ and ‘voco life‘ to deliver a sense of individual charm and connection. Flooded with natural light, each guest room offers vibrantly playful interiors that include plush sustainable bedding, modern bathrooms and sweeping views across the city or bay, with most opening out to private balconies.

Guests will be able to spend their days unwinding by the podium-level swimming pool, enjoying a drink from the swim-up bar, recharging in the onsite wellness centre or discovering the six distinctive dining and bar experiences that complement the hotel and bring the precinct to life.

As part of The Archibald Precinct, the family-friendly watering hole Archies is home to two unique dining experiences – Ironbark kitchen which delivers a curated menu of modern Australian cuisine and pub classics cooked over the custom-made wood fire grill while Paolo’s brings a taste of Italy to the bustling precinct with hand-rolled pasta, trattoria-style dishes and wood-fired pizza from the morelloforni oven.

The jewel in the crown, however, will be Astra, the Central Coast’s highest rooftop bar and Japanese inspired izakaya. Michelin star-trained Executive Chef Maxime Chasseriaud, together with Sous Chef Harry Cho, have crafted a menu that celebrates Japanese technique with a fire-driven edge.

At the heart of the experience will be the hibachi grill, using premium binchōtan charcoal to sear meats and seafood before finishing them in a charcoal oven that locks in juices and layers delicate smokiness with deep umami flavour. Expect a dining experience that fuses theatre, precision and bold simplicity, paired with cocktails designed for golden hours and glittering nights.

Bookings for the hotel and restaurants open from 12 November 2025, with the official launch of voco Gosford and The Archibald Precinct taking place on 1 December 2025. Guests can also enjoy the benefits of IHG One Rewards when they book direct, with access to exclusive perks at voco Gosford and more than 6,700 destinations worldwide.

voco Gosford joins a growing collection of over 107 voco hotels globally, including 6 in Australia and New Zealand.
