After graduating from the University of Technology Sydney, Angela started her career as a journalist, working for Qantas The Australian Way magazine. After almost four-and-a-half years at the magazine, her love of travel and tourism took her to Mirvac Hotels & Resorts where she started her PR career.
Following the acquisition of Mirvac Hotels & Resorts by Accor in 2012, Angela excelled as part of the renowned and award-winning Accor hotels PR team. Angela enjoyed more than 7.5 years at Accor, most recently as Director of Communications, looking after more than 250 hotels and resorts across the Pacific, and managing corporate communications, crisis communications, and PR for major hotel openings, announcements and refurbishments.
In August 2018, Angela established Eight Communications – a creative and strategic communications consultancy for brands within the area of hospitality, encompassing hotels, travel, tourism, wineries, restaurants and bars.
