In celebration of 20 years at the helm of Sofitel Melbourne On Collins, Executive Chef John Savage is partnering with acclaimed local chef, Scott Pickett for an exclusive one-of-a-kind dinner on Monday 20 November at No35 Restaurant.

 As a fitting finale to the Sofitel Chef Series, the 4-course menu will showcase Chef John’s deep-rooted passion for local produce and seasonal ingredients infused with a touch of French flavours together with Chef Scott’s ingenuity and modern approach to Australian cuisine. 

 In honour of Melbourne’s vibrant food culture, each course will be served with matching wines from Yering Station and both chefs will share the inspiration behind their dishes and culinary journeys.

 “It’s been an honour to collaborate with someone as renowned as Scott on this exclusive dining experience. We want to take guests on a gastronomic journey that celebrates Melbourne’s distinctly unique food culture and transports them, even if just for a night,” Chef John explained.

 The curated 4-course menu will feature an amuse bouche of vichyssoise, oyster cream, Avruga, dill matched with Yarrabank Cuvee, entree of cured kingfish, celeriac, green apple, crème fraiche, dashi matched with Chardonnay, main course of David Blackmore wagyu, peas, broad beans, fermented truffle matched with Shiraz Viognier and finishing off with a dessert of Champagne & Rocky Creek strawberries, torn sponge, sorbet, Valrhona white chocolate matched with Yarrabank Crème De Cuvee

 “I am very much looking forward to helping John celebrate 20 incredible years at Sofitel Melbourne, by joining each other in the kitchen for a sensational dinner. Having supported many events at Sofitel Melbourne over the years, I’m thrilled to be back to share in this special evening,” Scott said.

 Following the event, the specially curated entree and dessert will be available to experience in No.35 Restaurant until 3 December 2023.
